Who it suits
Pain alone does not mean a tooth must come out. Examination and X-rays help compare extraction with root canal treatment or restoration on prognosis, complexity and long-term value.

How treatment works
We assess the tooth and surrounding structures and discuss realistic alternatives, including doing nothing where safe.
The procedure, anaesthetic, likely complexity, aftercare and replacement implications are explained before consent.
Local anaesthetic is used and comfort is checked throughout. Surgical access is used only where the tooth requires it.
You leave with written aftercare, warning signs and a review plan where healing or replacement needs monitoring.
Fees
The examination confirms whether a simple or surgical approach is needed. Sedation, where suitable, is an additional fee and requires separate assessment.

Why choose us
Removal is recommended only after the prospects and costs of keeping the tooth have been considered.

Stop signals, extra time and sedation assessment are available rather than expecting you to push through fear.

Common questions
A simple extraction starts from £250 and a surgical extraction from £450. Examination and X-rays establish the complexity and complete fee before treatment.
Local anaesthetic should prevent sharp pain, although pressure and movement are normal. Tell us immediately if you feel discomfort so more anaesthetic can be given.
Initial soreness and swelling commonly improve over several days. Surgical extractions can take longer. Follow the written instructions and contact us if pain or swelling worsens rather than settles.
Not always. It depends on the position, bite, neighbouring teeth and your priorities. If replacement is useful, the options can include a bridge, denture or implant after healing is assessed.
