A local guide
An honest guide to choosing dental care across Hounslow West, Hounslow Heath and Whitton — what your options are, how treatment is usually priced, and the questions worth asking before you agree to anything. Written by Dr Sundeep Solanki, GDC 212282.
TW4 sits between Hounslow Heath and Whitton, and most residents here are registered with a mixed practice within a mile of home. The gap people notice is not access to a dentist — it is access to unhurried time when something more than a filling is needed. Cosmetic and implant work depends on photographs, scans, laboratory communication and a second planning appointment before anything is started; that is the part worth travelling a short distance for.
Getting here
Door-to-door times from Google Maps for a weekday late morning, measured October 2026. Allow longer at rush hour, on school runs and on Twickenham Stadium event days.
Your options
NHS dentistry covers treatment that keeps you healthy — examinations, fillings, extractions, dentures. It does not cover cosmetic work: whitening, veneers, bonding and clear aligners are private wherever you go. Most people use a mix of NHS for essentials and private for appearance-led work, and that is perfectly sensible.
A general practice looks after routine care for the whole family. A cosmetic-focused practice spends its time on alignment, shape, colour and replacing missing teeth — usually with longer appointments, digital planning and a strong laboratory relationship. Ask which of the two you are walking into.
In larger practices the dentist who plans your case is not always the one who does it. Ask who will be holding the handpiece, how many similar cases they complete a year, and whether you will see the same person at every visit.
Implants, complex alignment and gum treatment are sometimes referred out. That is not a bad sign, but it changes the cost and the timeline. Ask early.

What things cost
Prices vary between practices, so rather than quote anyone else's, here is how each type of treatment is normally priced — so you can compare two quotes properly. Our own fees are published in full on the fees page.
What to ask

Asked in TW4
Call as early in the day as possible — most practices, including ours, keep same-day slots for pain, a lost front filling or a broken tooth. Out of hours, NHS 111 directs you to the urgent dental service.
Not always. Some practices place implants in-house, others refer. Ask early, because a referral changes both the timeline and the total cost — and ask whether the quoted fee covers the implant, the abutment and the crown.
Practices differ; some charge for a cosmetic consultation and some include it. Our own fees are published in full so you can compare before you book.
An implant is three components — the implant, the abutment and the crown — and a proper quote covers all three plus scans. Our implant fees are published on the fees page so you can compare like with like.
For a single filling, probably not. For a planned course of cosmetic work over a few appointments, the fifteen-minute journey is a small part of the decision — the planning and the laboratory behind the work matter far more.
Why patients choose us
Sunny Dental is a private, cosmetic-focused practice on London Road in Twickenham, led by Dr Sundeep Solanki (GDC 212282). Patients searching for a cosmetic dentist in TW4 — composite bonding, veneers, Invisalign, whitening or implants — come to us because the treatment is planned and carried out by one dentist, at a fee agreed in writing before it starts, roughly fifteen to twenty minutes from TW4 via Whitton and the A314 from TW4.
What people travel to Harley Street for is a named dentist, unhurried appointments, digital planning and a natural finish. That is exactly how this practice works — a few minutes from home, with no central London trip at every stage of the case.
Dr Sundeep Solanki plans and carries out the treatment himself. You see the same dentist at the consultation, the fitting and every review — no handovers, no associate rota.
Composite bonding, porcelain veneers, clear aligners, whitening and implant restorations are what this practice spends its week doing, rather than a sideline to routine care.
You leave the consultation with the treatment written down and the cost agreed before anything begins. No open-ended estimates and no pressure to decide on the day.
Parents book alongside teenagers and grandparents. Longer appointments, a calm room and a slow approach for anyone who has had a bad experience in a dental chair before.
Longer appointments, a slower pace and a dentist who explains each step before it happens. Plenty of patients here have avoided dentists for years — nobody is lectured about it.
