Who it suits
Pocket measurements, bleeding scores and dental X-rays distinguish surface inflammation from gum disease affecting the supporting bone.

How treatment works
We record pocket depths, bleeding, plaque and relevant risk factors so treatment has a clear baseline.
Home cleaning, smoking and health factors are addressed because professional treatment cannot compensate for uncontrolled daily plaque.
Root surfaces are cleaned in planned areas, with local anaesthetic where needed for comfort.
Measurements are repeated after healing. Maintenance or specialist referral is based on the response, not assumed in advance.
Fees
Deep cleaning is planned by quadrant after gum measurements. The number of areas and review schedule depend on the extent of disease.

Why choose us
Pocket and bleeding measurements make progress visible and help identify sites needing more support.
Treatment can be divided into manageable visits and local anaesthetic used where deeper cleaning would be uncomfortable.
Persistent or complex disease may benefit from specialist periodontal assessment, which we discuss openly.

Common questions
Periodontal therapy starts from £295 per quadrant. The number of areas and complete fee follow gum measurements and any necessary X-rays.
Tender areas can be numbed with local anaesthetic. Some soreness afterwards is possible, but treatment should be paced around your comfort.
Gingivitis can often be reversed. Bone lost through periodontitis does not simply regrow, but disease can often be controlled with treatment, effective home cleaning and continuing maintenance.
The interval is based on your response and risk. Three- or four-month maintenance is common after active gum disease, but it is not the same for everyone.
